I went last night to the birthday party of Susan Anton. I've known her since we were younger and going to the Limelight weekly for Disco 2000 or Too Terrible as we liked to call it then. She invited a few friends we both have know over the years. I didn't get pictures of everyone but here are some of my favorites including one of Mellie Mel from rap pioneers Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five who performed a few of the hits he voiced back in the day. It was funny to see him before the show sitting at a table towards the corner of the room. Sitting up very erect in the red suit with a red hat like some old G mafia don, or some old pimp. Then I see him perform and it all made sense.
I really like how they dress up for the parties. I am also planning to throw a theme party on my birthday this time. The theme will be something related to celebrities, Hollywood or Oscars. I have shortlisted some cool event venues Chicago for the party and I got some good ideas for my party.
